Keene, NH—As it reopens with new policies and technology in place to help ensure safe dental care, Raynor Dental is pleased to announce the addition of two new dentists to its growing staff of oral health care professionals, Dr. Clare Ma, who will practice at Raynor Dental’s office in Peterborough, New Hampshire, and Dr. Miguel Velez III, who will work from the office in Keene.
Dr. Ma, a former resident of Andover, Massachusetts, earned her BS in Microbiology at the University of Rochester, and graduated with honors from Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry in Philadelphia. She says, “At Temple, I learned the importance of providing care to the underserved, so I wanted to move to an area where I felt I was truly needed and where I could make a difference.” In her free time, Dr. Ma enjoys traveling, skiing, and hiking with her dog.
Dr. Velez, who grew up in Fitchburg, MA, began his career in dentistry at Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School, where he learned dental assisting. After earning his BS in Medical Biology from the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine, he went on to receive his DMD at the University of New England College of Dental Medicine in Portland, Maine. Graduating at the top of his dental class, he received the Academic Excellence Award and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) national dental honor society. Dr. Velez met his wife, Dr. Jacqueline Velez of the Raynor Dental Peterborough office, while in high school. He says, “My aim is to get to know my patients’ individual needs and help them reach their oral health goals in a comfortable environment.” Away from the office he enjoys hiking, fishing, motorcycle riding, and spending time with family and friends.
